Distance Covered:

Another very early start but today was pretty damn cold. Great to see the sun rise over the hills.

Not a s windy as we hoped but still rigged the 6.0 lightning. Got onto the plane straight away and really noticed how cold it really was. Today was the first time in ages my hands ached from the cold. I had to come in to warm them up after about 10min. The wind by that time had started to fill in nicley so Al came out to join me.

The water was still quite flat and I managed 29.6 knots which felt pretty quick. The sail was solid and could handle much more wind which I hoped would come later as the sun warmed things up. I never managed to break 30knots but had plenty of mid 28knot runs as the chop got pretty intense and things got a bit hairy.

I then decided to give the wave board and 5.0 a try. It did not last long as the wind dropped off a bit and I struggled to get planing. I was good while it lasted though. Went back out on the s-type for some last mad dashes but soon the wind dropped right off.

Great session and two days in a row. On top of that I was home by lunch to earn some brownie points but I soon lost them by falling asleep on the couch. Damn it!!!
